Today I’ll talk again about spikes (no big surprise, given my name…..). Studs and their bolder version (spikes) are a trend continuing to grow and to be wear by  stars, starlets and all of us everywhere, from bags, jackets, dresses, to iPad case, mouse …. and shoes of course… from Converse (in Italy by showgirls like Melissa Satta and Elisabetta Canalis) to high heels.

Oggi parlerò di borchie ed aculei (okay, non è così sorprendente, visto il mio nome...). le borchie e la loro versione più aggressiva (gli aculei) sono un trend che non sembra esaurirsi e continua ad essere indossato da vip, veline e da tutti noi un po’ dappertutto, dalle borse , alle giacche, ai vestiti, copertine dell’iPad, mouse... ed alle scarpe naturalmente ... dalle All Stars (in Italia amate ad esempio da Melissa Satta ed Elisabetta Canalis) fino a quelle con i tacchi alti.

In addition to my Jeffrey Campbell spikey platform pumps (see my post dated January 29, 2013); I recently bought another spikey model by the same brand: Pixie. They are a  4" heel with 1" hidden platform bootie in black smooth leather with silver super pointy and (dangerous) spikes.

They add a strong rock attitude to any look, here I chose a “total punk look”: with a “punk” t-shirt by John Richmond and eco-leather black leggings by Tally Weijl….And you, do you like them?


Dopo le décolleté di Jeffrey Campbell con aculei di cui ho parlato nel mio post del 29 gennaio scorso, ho deciso di comprare un altro paio di scarpe con aculei dello stesso marchio: i Pixie. Sono degli stivaletti con un volume molto importante e volutamente “tozzo”, alti 10 cm, con un plateau interno di 2.5 cm in pelle nera opaca ed aculei argentati super appuntiti (e pericolosi).
 
Possono aggiungere un tocco veramente rock a qualsiasi look, qui ho optato per un look “total punk” con una t-shirt “punk” di  John Richmond e leggings neri in eco-pelle di Tally Weijl…. And you, do you like them?

Sono perfette sia indossate con tubini o gonne nere semplici, per aggiungere una nota graffiante ed imprevista ad un look “bon ton/perbenino”, oppure con abiti stampati/colorati... anche corti_ le decollete con plateau esaltano le gambe_ come il miniabito di John Richmond con stampa serpente che indosso in queste foto...
They are perfect with a little black dress or gown, to add a glamorous and unexpected touch to a “bon chic, bon ton” look or with some printed/colorful dresses, even shorts _ platform pumps are perfect to enhance your legs_like the John Richmond mini dress with snake skin print I’m wearing in these photos…

Ho scoperto questo marchio californiano da poco ed è stato amore a prima vista <3...

Borchie/aculei e plateau continueranno ad essere un tormentone dei nostri passi sui tacchi ancora per qualche stagione...... ma i volumi del plateau e dei tacchi e la particolarità degli aculei di queste decollete (in acciaio, brillano alla luce e pungono...sono una vera arma impropria) le rendono davvero originali. Ultime note positive: sono scarpe comode, la pianta è ampia ed il tacco stabile e costano relativamente poco (meno di 200 EUR) rispetto ai modelli dei designers più noti (sono prodotte nel Far East e la qualità non è quella del nostro made in Italy, ma per uno sfizio sono perfette). Si trovano anche in Italia nei negozi di tendenza oppure online. Date un occhio

I recently found this Californian shoe brand and I it was love at first glance <3…
Studs, spikes and platforms will continue to allure and follow our steps for some seasons more, I guess… but the shape and volume of the platform and heel of these shoes and their spikes (in steel, they shine reflecting the light and actually sting, they can be used to defense yourself when in trouble…) are really original. Last positive things about these shoes: they have high heels, but they are very comfortable and easy to wear and they don’t cost too much compared to other designer shoes (less than 200 $_ okay, they are produced in the Far East and in their quality is not the one of the most beautiful made in Italy creations, but for a whim they are perfect :-) ).

Unica attenzione: occhio ragazze, gli aculei sono davvero appuntiti, state attente a non farvi male, come me accavallando le gambe...

But watch it, lady: these studded shoes are (really) spikey. Be careful or you can hurt yourself simply crossing your legs, like me...
